The Story

Once upon a time, long ago in a land called Egypt, the doctors who served Kings, Queens, Pharaohs and people of nobility came up with a healing practice that helped sick people feel better. It was passed down through many generations and could be older than a pictograph found on the Egyptian tomb of Ankhamor in 2330 BC along with other medical procedures. In some cases it actually did cure some diseases and ailments so it never went out of style.  An American, Dr. William H. Fitzgerald, who was an Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists at a hospital in Hartford, CT incorporated it into his practice at St. Francis Hospital after a trip to Egypt after seeing it practiced there and the profound effects it had on the sick.
There is no magical power behind this ancient technique.  It is a natural practice merely assisting the human body to come into balance, alignment or harmony. God's creation of our bodies and how well they are designed that is most amazing of all.  Our bodies can and do heal themselves everyday if you think about it.
Dr. Fitzgerald is known as the "Father of Reflexology" in the USA.  He actually named it Zone Analgesia back in the early 1900's and used it to numb pain in his patients along with co-writing a book with Dr.Bowers entitled "How to Heal Yourself at Home".  Dr. Riley added Median or Horizontal Zones to improve on this ancient art of healing. Then Eunice D. Ingham trained under Dr. Riley working on Reflex Points that correspond to the Anatomical Model of the Body.  She worked many years as a Physical Therapist and perfected this treatment we know as modern Reflexology.  She took in many people who had chronic pain, diseases or ailments that their personal doctors could not provide relief or cure for and many people flocked to her once word spread to the medical professionals and the lay communities. Reflexololgy was formerly known as Medical Massage. Today it is used by midwives to assist in the birthing process, used in Emergency Rooms to calm trauma victims, also found practiced in nursing homes, at Wellness Centers, in Spas around the world, and finally in my own Reflexology Practice here in Gray, Maine.

Happy Customers

My goal is to serve my clients with respect, a peaceful spirit, loving hands and empathy for their pain.  Teaching people about Reflexology and how it is 100% natural, painless, and extremely enjoyable. It teaches your body how to relax, eliminates stress, combats inflammation, increases circulation, brings food and oxygen to all parts of the body, and balances all eleven systems, while eliminating toxins that accumulate from the environment.  I began my Practice in 2008.  Still love helping people learn to heal themselves and live a comfortable healthy life without pain weighing them down.  It seems that I have only one regret which is that I did not begin my studies at the age of 26 when I first discovered this ancient healing art.
There are so many people who suffer daily with chronic debilitating pain. My heart and prayers go out to those who struggle daily with chronic pain and who are losing hope out there!

Tire of pains in the neck?
Reflexology will help you.

Migraines! 80% of sufferers go undiagnosed. Pain is your body telling you to Do Something right away.

Self-Care is important, Hydration and Improved Sleep Habits are too.  I use peppermint or lavender essential oils when treating clients and sweet basil oil helps with inflammation.

It is best to live Life with an Attitude of Gratitude. My Mom taught me that years ago by her example. She is a 5 time Cancer Survivor and one of my Connecticut clients, and totally a mentor in my life.  So Grateful!
